Wash and peel the skin of the bottlegourd.

Cut as cubes.
Wash chanadal. - 3
Pressure cook lauki with chanadal.

Make a fine paste of coconut and green chillies

Add this paste to cooked vegetables.

Mix well.Give it a boil.

Add curry leaves.

Give a tadka of mustard seeds and urad dal and red chillies (optional)

Your koottu is ready.Serve as a side dish for sambar with rice or with chapatis /poories.

Helps in weight loss.

You may prepare the kootu with ashgourd/chayote/cucumber/snakegourd.
