Want to make a dessert that doesn't require too many ingredients? Look no further, make a chocolate mousse! If you whip your egg whites well, the dessert will be ready in less than 3 hours.
Steps
- 1
Separate the egg whites from the yolks.
- 2
Melt the chocolate using a double boiler. Once melted, mix it with the yolks.
- 3
Whip the egg whites until they are very firm. (Don't worry if they don't whip up; you don't have to throw everything away. Just turn this recipe into a cake.)
- 4
Gently fold the egg whites into the chocolate mixture using a spatula to avoid breaking them. Fill small glasses and let set for at least 2 1/2 to 3 hours. If your egg whites were well whipped, your mousse should be set after this time; otherwise, allow an additional two hours.
