Home made dill pickles are so easier and with a few ingredient cost about 10% store bought and they are BETTER !!
Steps

Put cucumbers in large pan and cover with water. Put on lid and leave overnight or up to 24 hours.

Remove the cucumbers and put into a large container - I use a plastic food storage box. Make sure whatever you use is cleaned properly.

Sprinkle in the salt and add the vinegar add the dill and then top up with cold water until everything is covered. I slightly mix everything together so salt starts resolve. Then put on lid and put into fridge.

After 2-3 days add the sugar and slightly mix again. And return to fridge for at least 24 hours. I prefer one week.

Remove the pickles as needed. Slice and use on everything from burgers to salads to just snacking. ENJOY.
