Microwave Cooking: Salmon Chanchan-yaki with Cheese (Salmon Wrapped in Paper with Sweet Miso Sauce)

I love cheese, so I always add it to chanchan-yaki.

If the cheese clumps up in the salmon packet, microwave the salmon for 4 minutes, take it out, top with the cheese and microwave for another 4 minutes. The cheese will melt nicely on the salmon this way. For 2 servings. Recipe by Miyu mama

Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 2pieces Raw salmon
  2. 3leaves Cabbage
  3. 1/2Onion
  4. 4 tbspPizza cheese
  5. 2 tbsp○Miso
  6. 3 tbsp○Sugar
  7. 2 tbsp○Mirin

Cooking Instructions

    Cut the cabbage into bite sized pieces. Slice the onion thinly. Put the cabbage, onion and salmon in that order on 2 sheets of parchment paper.

    Mix the ○ ingredients together in a bowl and put on top of the salmon. Add the cheese.

    Wrap up both paper parcels, and twist closed the ends like wrapped candy.

    Microwave for about 8 minutes, and it's done.
