Ingredients

  • Batter:
  • 1/2 cupcornstarch (about 60 grams)
  • 1egg
  • 1fish fillet
  • For the salads:
  • Mexican salsa (tomato, onion, chili pepper, and cilantro)
  • Red cabbage
  • Chopped lettuce
  • Chipotle dressing:
  • 1 tablespoonchipotle pepper
  • 1/2 cupyogurt (about 120 grams)
  • Juice of 1/2 small lime
  • 1/4 clovegarlic, minced
  • Salt to taste
  • Paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, and salt to season the fish fillet
  • Nopal tortillas or low-calorie tortillas

    Season the fish fillet and set aside.

  2. 2

    In a deep bowl, combine the cornstarch with salt, paprika or crushed red pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix and set aside.

  3. 3

    In another bowl, beat the egg and set aside.

  4. 4

    For the batter: Heat a small amount of oil (1-2 tablespoons) in a skillet. Dredge the fish fillet in the cornstarch mixture, then dip it in the beaten egg. Add to the skillet and cook on both sides until golden.

  5. 5

    Once cooked, set aside your battered fish fillet.

  6. 6

    For the dressing: Blend all the ingredients and add salt to taste. If it's too thin, add a bit more chipotle.

  7. 7

    Assemble your tacos as you like and enjoy!
