Ingredients

  • Posto Paste
  • 3 tbspPoppy Seeds(Khus Khus / Posto Dana) -
  • Green Chilli - 2 Roughly Chopped
  • 1/2 Cupwater for soaking
  • 1/2 Tbspwater for grinding
  • Other Ingredients
  • Potato - 3 Medium Size
  • 1/2 TSPKalonji (Kaalo Jeere) -
  • Green Chilli - 2 /3 Slit in 2 pcs
  • 2 TbspMustard Oil -
  • 1/4 tspTurmeric Powder -
  • Salt - According to tatse
  • Water - 1/2 Cup, add more if required
  • Sugar - 1/4 TSP (optional)

Steps

30 Mins
  1. 1

    Soak posto / poppy Seeds in half cup of water overnight or for quick preparation soak poppy Seeds in warm water for 30 mins

  2. 2

    Add the Soaked poppy seed with roughly chopped green chillies in a grinder

  3. 3

    Peel skin of potatoes and cut potatoes in widgets

  4. 4

    Take Kadai or deep pan and aad 2 Tbsp mustard oil. Heat the oil and add 1/2 TSP kalonji

    Once kalonji started splattering add Potatoes and stir fry until the edges become golden brown

    Once the potatoes are golden brown and Poppy seed paste.

    Now Add 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder and green Chillies

    Keep stirring for 1 min until turmeric is mixed

  9. 9

    Now add Salt as per Taste and add 1/2 Cup of water and mix the whole content

    Cover the Kadai and cook for 2 mins in low flame until the potatoes soften

    Add more water if required

  12. 12

    Once the potatoes get softened and they are cooked then serve the same
