Tomatillos Ampela Ayam/Chicken Gizzard Tomatillos

Another favorite recipe, its not much people like the organs part of the animals. But as an Indonesian organs are always the best food for us like chicken gizzard, hearts or lungs.
A little bit variation to the original Indonesian recipe, I put the tomatillos, as in Indonesia we use the green tomatoes. Other than that, everything just as delicious as my family recipe.

Cara Membuat

Clean and dice the chicken gizzard. Add oil and pre heat the saucepan, sauté the diced onion, minced garlic, green chilli and ginger.
Bersihkan dan potong dadu ampela ayam. Tambahkan minyak dan panaskan panci, tumis bawang bombay potong dadu, bawang putih cincang, cabai hijau dan jahe.

Then add the paprika powder, black pepper, tomato paste and chilli oil. Stir it gently then add the diced gizzard. Close the lid, less the heat and cook until the gizzard is tender.
Kemudian tambahkan bubuk paprika, lada hitam, pasta tomat, dan minyak cabai. Aduk perlahan lalu tambahkan ampela yang telah dipotong dadu. Tutup penutupnya, kurangi panasnya dan masak sampai ampela empuk.

Once the gizzard is tender add the diced tomatillos and red paprika. Cook it more for 5-10 minutes.
Setelah ampela empuk tambahkan tomatillo yang dipotong dadu dan paprika merah. Masak lagi selama 5-10 menit.

Chicken gizzard tomatillos is ready to eat with plain rice or flat bread.
