Stuffed Peppers

I sure do love stuffed peppers and have since I was young. These peppers are homegrown from my garden. Simple to make. Takes a little cook time, but well worth it. If you like my recipes, be sure to follow and like!

Steps
- 1
Finely dice one onion set aside.
- 2
Boil Rice until done and set aside.
- 3
Combine hamburger and sausage in a skillet and cook. Chop it into a fine consistency as you cook. Add butter, taco seasoning, onion, cumin, tomatoes, and salt to your skillet and mix well.
- 4
With a larger pot, combine your rice and taco/meat mixture.
- 5
Cut the tops off of peppers. With a small spoon, remove any inner pepper seeds to make room for stuffing.
- 6
Stuff peppers full of the meat mixture and place in a casserole pan or cookie sheet and cover with tin foil. Bake for one hour at 450°
- 7
Remove tinfoil and bake an additional hour and a half to two hours or until peppers have softened and become wrinkled.
- 8
Remove and serve hot. Add sour cream, cheese, chives or salsa and serve
