My inspiration was my love for lentils, the texture and the taste just slaps for me!😂
It's a quick meal and very fulfilling especially with the fruit of the Gods!😅

Pumpkin vegetable rice and kamande stew
My inspiration was my love for lentils, the texture and the taste just slaps for me!😂
It's a quick meal and very fulfilling especially with the fruit of the Gods!😅

Steps

Assemble all ingredients and chop up all the vegetables.

Turn on your cooker and place your cooking pot and put in a little vegetable oil and add in your onions.

Add in your spices, I like to add them in at this step cause it gives the food aroma.

Add in your carrots and let them saute for a few minutes

Add in your chopped tomatoes, and a little salt, and cover the mixture.

After 3 minutes, add in your pre-boiled kamande(lentils) add some water cause the juices might thicken.

Cover the mixture and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes, this is to let the lentils absorb the flavours in the stew.

Once the water has reduced to a gravy, turn off the heat.

Serve the stew together with the rice. You can add a refreshing drink, a fruit dessert or an avocado like I did.
