Ingredients

30 minutes
3-4 serves
  • For pakodas : 👇
  • 1 cuppalak, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 pinchturmeric
  • 1/2 t.spoon red chilli powder
  • 1 t.spoon coriander - cumin seeds powder
  • 1 pinchajwain
  • 1/2 cupchickpea flour
  • 1 pinchcooking soda
  • 1-2 tb spoonWater
  • Oil for frying
  • For Kadhi :👇
  • 200 gmscurds, a little sour
  • 3 t.spoon chickpea flour
  • 1/2-3/4 cupwater
  • Tempering :👇
  • 2 t.spoon clarified butter
  • 2 t.spoon oil
  • 2dry red chillies
  • 2cinnamon, small pieces
  • 1/2 t.spoon methi dana
  • 2cardamom
  • 3-4peppercorns
  • 3-4cloves
  • 1 t.spoon cumin seeds
  • 5-6curry leaves
  • 4garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1 inchginger, finely chopped
  • 2-3spicy green chillies, finely chopped
  • 1small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 t.spoon turmeric powder
  • 1 t.spoon red chilli powder
  • 1 t.spoon coriander-cumin seeds powder
  • Salt to taste

Steps

    For the pakodas : Mix everything & drop small pakodas in hot oil.

    Deep fry pakodas till golden. Remove & keep aside.

    Kadhi : Take curds in a bowl, add water & blend.

    Tempering of kadhi : Take ghee & oil in a small pan, add dry red chillies, cinnamon, methi dana,2 cardamom, 3-4 peppercorns, 3-4 cloves,cumin seeds & curry leaves.

    Add garlic & ginger & green chillies saute well.Add onion turmeric powder, red chilli powder coriander-cumin seeds powder & salt.Add tempering in kadhi. Add 1 cup water & boil.

    Than add 1/2 cup more water to set the consistency. Lastly add sugar & mix. Add pakodas & cover & cook.Switch off the gas & serve hot.

    Note : Add pakodas in kadhi only 15 minutes before serving.
