Delicious Pork Wrapped Tofu

I read a book called 100 Healthy Tofu Recipes, and then made this. The book said to use umeboshi (salt-cured plum) in the seasonings, but I didn't have any, so I just used soy sauce, sake, mirin and sugar and it turned out nicely.

Drain the tofu thoroughly. I divided the wraps into 2 portions when I was cooking them, so I also divided the sauce into 2 portions.
Cook the meat while wiping any excess oil. For 5 servings. Recipe by Mimicchi kasan

Ingredients

5 servings
  • 200 gramsThinly sliced pork belly
  • 1 blockFirm tofu
  • 2 tbsp*Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp*Sake
  • 2 tbsp*Mirin
  • 1 tsp*Sugar
  • 1 tspSesame oil

Steps

  1. 1

    Drain the tofu and cut into 1.5 cm.

    Wrap the tofu in thinly sliced pork.

    Coat a pan with sesame oil and cook the wraps (seam side down) over medium heat.

    Turn over and cook the other side, then roll them around so they are done evenly. Wipe excess oil with a paper towel.

    When they are browned, add the ingredients marked *, and fry until it's well coated in the teriyaki sauce, taking care not to burn it.
