For Osechi Matsumae Pickles with Herring Roe For Osechi Matsumae Pickles with Herring Roe
This is just a simple dish that I made with store-bought pickles. If you don't have enough sauce, feel free to top it up with soy sauce, mirin or cooking sake. If you find it too rich, then you can dilute it with hot or cold water. Alternatively, you could add diluted mentsuyu instead. If you aren't using store-bought pickles, finely slice the kombu and dried squid and then carry out the same steps as in the recipe.Salmon roe also makes a delicious addition to this dish. Easy Pickles with Sushi Vinegar Easy Pickles with Sushi Vinegar
My aunt taught me how to make these pickles. I simplified the recipe using sushi vinegar.I don't have any hints, but in Step 2 don't let the vinegar flavor dissipate by letting it boil for too long. But you should let it come to a boil once since the liquid contains water. For an easy to make amount. Recipe by Chobikoro cookpad.japan -
Fried Pickles with honey mustard dipping sauce Fried Pickles with honey mustard dipping sauce
#deepfried#indvswi#indvswDeep fried pickles are an addictive finger food perfect for any get together you’re hosting whether it’s game night, movie night or cocktails with friends. If you’ve never tried deep fried pickles, it’s time to try these out for yourself. They probably do sound a little odd to those of you that have never thought of frying a pickle and I’ll admit that I was skeptical at first too. But let me tell you with their crispy, salty outside and tangy inside these little devils are down right addictive and would vanish from the plate in seconds.Note- A 'pickle' as is called in USA and Canada, is a cucumber that had been pickled in brine, vinegar, or other solutions and left to ferment for a period of time. In this recipe, I have used Dill pickles. Shuchi Jain -

I created this recipe to balance the flavours to my liking.A large amount of white (daikon radish) with a small amount of red (carrots) will look beautiful. You can slightly decrease the amount of the carrots.I recommend adding yuzu citrus for New Year holidays. Normally, you can use a lemon or omit it. Recipe by Setsubunhijiki cookpad.japan -

Cucumber Pickles Cucumber Pickles
I adopted a recipe that I saw in a book about 10 years ago.※ If you can, use premade pickling spice to make authentic and spicy pickles. But if you cannot find it, use a mixture of 5 grains of black pepper corn, 1 red chili pepper, and 1 bay leaf.※ You can eat it on the first day, but it's best after 3 days. Turnip Senmai-Zuke (Kyoto-style Pickles) Turnip Senmai-Zuke (Kyoto-style Pickles)
I used a thick turnip to make Kyoto-style senmai-zuke.A slicer will slice the turnips too thinly and eliminate the texture. Use a knife to slice the turnip slightly thicker than you feel you should. As a matter of fact, my friend used this recipe and brought pickles to her boyfriend's mother as a gift, and it was a success! She is now married to him! Recipe by Pepperminttea cookpad.japan -
Bread & Butter Pickles Bread & Butter Pickles
I have cucumbers coming out of my garden faster than I can eat them! Here's how I enjoy them all year and get a jump start on what's going in the Christmas baskets this year. The Thyme and Allspice are unconventional ingredients that add a unique taste. This recipe makes 9 pints but you can definitely adjust the ratios for smaller quantities. The longer they sit, the better they taste. Plan to fix ahead of time (like a week or two ahead) and store in the fridge until you are ready to serve. I make huge batches and then when the picnic/cookout invites come, I'm ready. Nena's.cook.nook -
