Cooking Instructions

Lightly bring the ingredients marked with a star to a boil in a pot. Thinly slice the onion and microwave until translucent, then add to the pot.

Add the drained chicken katsu to step 1 and simmer until the sauce is absorbed and visible on the sides.

Pour the beaten egg into step 2, cover with a lid, and simmer on low heat until the egg reaches your desired consistency.

Serve the rice in a bowl and gently slide step 3 on top to finish (the photo shows it topped with shiso leaves).
