Ingredients

Serves 4 servings
  1. 2-inch piece daikon radish (about 5 cm)
  2. 3/4-inch piece carrot (about 2 cm)
  3. 1 leafnapa cabbage
  4. 2shiitake mushrooms
  5. 1 bagbean sprouts
  6. 8boiled dumplings (shuǐjiǎo or frozen Asian dumplings)
  7. 1 tablespoonchicken bouillon powder
  8. Soy sauce, to taste
  9. 1 pinchSalt,

Steps

  1. 1

    Pour 3 1/3 cups water (800 ml) into a pot and bring to a boil.

  2. 2

    Cut the vegetables into bite-sized pieces. For quicker cooking and better flavor, slice them thinly.

  3. 3

    Add all the cut vegetables to the pot, then add the chicken bouillon powder. Simmer for a while.

  4. 4

    When the vegetables are tender, add the dumplings and continue to cook.

  5. 5

    Once the dumplings are cooked through, season with soy sauce and a pinch of salt to taste. Serve hot.
