Easy Fluffy French Toast -- A Golden Ratio Recipe

French toast reminds me of my childhood because my mother taught me this recipe.
I'm posting my golden ratio of ingredients so you can make delicious French toast easily.
I use sliced bread sliced to 2cm thicknesses. If using 2.5cm thick slices, use 1 1/2 slices or double the egg mixture for 3 slices.
Brown sugar gives a nice flavour and mild sweetness.
Toast the bread quickly over medium heat, taking care not to burn the bread. This will result in a crispy outside and fluffy inside. For 2 servings. Recipe by vegeful

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Cut the bread into 2-4 pieces.
- 2
Beat the egg, add the sugar, milk, and a few drops of vanilla essence, and mix very well with a whisk, then soak the bread in the mixture.
- 3
Heat butter in a frying pan, and toast the bread over low-medium heat. Cover with a lid, and once the bread browns evenly, flip it over and continue cooking without a lid.
- 4
If you prefer a richer taste, use 1 and 1/2 slices instead, or use one thick slice (2.5 cm), soak the bread in egg mixture until it completely absorbs, then toast the bread. Adjust the amount of egg mixture for your desired result.
- 5
Since this recipe is not too sweet, drizzle on your choice of honey, maple syrup, or fruit sauce.
