Condensed Milk & Evaporated Milk

This is an easy method using only milk. There's nothing difficult about it—just mix and simmer (*^^*). You can make only as much as you need when you need it. ♥
Background of this recipe
Condensed milk is quite expensive, and we often can't use it all before it goes bad. So, in our house, we make it as needed. Remember the ratio [100ml milk: 1 tablespoon sugar], and you'll find it very convenient to make just the amount you need.

Steps
- 1
In a pot, mix the milk and sugar well. For evaporated milk, do not add sugar; just put the milk in the pot. The following steps are the same for both.
- 2
Place over medium heat and simmer, stirring occasionally. As it thickens, it can burn easily, so lower the heat and stir constantly.
- 3
The goal is to reduce it by about half until it becomes thick and syrupy. If you reduce it further, you can enjoy it as milk jam (*^^*).
- 4
Store in a clean jar in the refrigerator and use within about a week. It can be used for strawberries, shaved ice, and more. ♡
