Easy Okonomiyaki with Flour and Hondashi

I aimed to recreate the taste often found in restaurants♪
I substituted the dashi with Hondashi!
Even without nagaimo, I was able to make a soft and delicious okonomiyaki☆
The origin of this recipe
I wanted to recreate the taste of a certain okonomiyaki chain restaurant at home, so I gave it a try.
It's hard to say about the taste since the sauce is different, but the texture came out similar♪
I think it would also be delicious with some pickled ginger if you like.
You can also freeze it after cooking♪

Steps
- 1
Mix the ★ ingredients in a bowl well.
For better results, dissolve the Hondashi in water (lukewarm) before adding. - 2
Add the roughly shredded cabbage, pork cut into bite-sized pieces, and tempura bits to the bowl from step 1 and mix well.
- 3
Add a generous amount of oil to a frying pan, place the mixture from step 2 in the pan, shape it into a circle, and cook on low to medium heat.
- 4
Once browned, flip it over with a spatula and continue to cook on low heat until cooked through.
Do not press down as it will become hard. - 5
Once cooked through, it's done!
To easily transfer to a plate, place a plate over the pan and flip the pan over. - 6
Spread sauce and mayonnaise on top, and sprinkle with bonito flakes or aonori if desired before serving.
