Adding sesame oil gives this tekka don a wonderful aroma and a mellow flavor.
Recipe background: I bought fresh tuna at the market and decided to make tekka don.

Cut the shiso leaves into thin strips, soak them in water, then drain well.

Slice the tuna thinly and marinate in the sauce for about 20 minutes.

Spoon rice into a bowl, add some of the shiso on top, then place 5 slices of tuna on the rice. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds, add the remaining shiso, and serve with wasabi.

Repeat to make the second serving of tekka don.
