Ingredients

  1. 2 3/4 cupsflour
  2. 2 Tablespoonbrown sugar
  3. 2 teaspoonsinstant dry yeast
  4. Pinchsalt
  5. 1 Tablespoonvanilla
  6. Pinchcinnamon
  7. 1/2 cupwater
  8. 1/4 cupwhole milk
  9. 1 Tablespoonoil
  10. 2 1/2 Tablespoonsbutter
  11. Filling
  12. 3 Tablespoonsbutter (room temperature)
  13. 1.5 Tablespooncinnamon powder
  14. 1/2 cupbrown sugar
  15. Caramel Glaze
  16. 1 cupsugar
  17. 6 Tablespoonsbutter
  18. 1/2 cupheavy cream
  19. Pinchsalt
  20. 1 teaspoonvanilla

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix dry ingredients and set aside.

  2. 2

    Warm the butter, milk, oil, and water (finger test)

  3. 3

    Mix wet and dry ingredients until you reach a smooth dough pulling away from your bowl. If dry add a Tablespoon of milk.

    Knead on a lightly floured surface for a 5-7 minutes.

    Place dough in a lightly oiled bowl and allow to double its size.

  6. 6

    Punch down the dough and roll out the dough on the counter (add a little flour if needed on the counter.

    Preheat oven to 350F/180C.

  8. 8

    Roll into a 15 by 9-inch rectangle.

    Spread butter all over the dough.

  10. 10

    Mix the cinnamon and sugar in a bowl.

  11. 11

    Sprinkle on the dough evenly.

  12. 12

    Tightly roll up the dough lengthwise into a log.

  13. 13

    Cut into even pieces and place in an oil round pan and allow to sit for 30 minutes covered (During this time preheat oven to 350F/180C)

    Bake for 30 minutes or until lightly browned.

    Caramel Glaze

  16. 16

    In a saucepan on medium heat stir sugar with a heat resistant spatula. Watch closely.

  17. 17

    Once the sugar starts to melt and become a light amber color and melted, add your butter all in one go. Be careful, it will bubble up with all the heat.

  18. 18

    Drizzle the cream in while stirring.

  19. 19

    Turn off heat and pour it out into a heat resistant jar to cool down.
