Place the sliced onion, mentsuyu, sugar, and water in a microwave-safe dish. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and microwave at 700W for 1 minute 30 seconds.

Carefully remove from the microwave. Place the pork cutlet on top, then pour the beaten egg evenly over everything. Be careful, it's hot!

Cover loosely with plastic wrap again and microwave at 700W for another 1 minute 30 seconds.

Spoon cooked rice into a bowl and top with the contents from step 3. Enjoy!
