Serves 4 to 6 servings

3.5 ozfideo pasta (about 100 grams)
2medium tomatoes
1 clovegarlic
1/4small onion (thinly sliced into half-moons)
1small carrot (diced)
1 sprigcilantro
2 cupschicken broth (about 1/2 liter)
as neededoil
salt to taste

Pour oil into a saucepan and sauté the onion, carrot, and fideo pasta over low heat until the pasta is golden brown.

Blend the tomatoes and garlic with a little water. Pour the mixture into the saucepan and cover. When most of the tomato sauce has been absorbed, add the chicken broth and cilantro sprig.

Add salt to taste and cook for three more minutes after it comes to a boil.

Note: You can add pieces of chicken and other vegetables like zucchini to make this a complete meal.
