Heat the oil in pan.fry peanuts on low flame for 5 minutes.

Add the curry leaves. Add roasted channa dal,sesame seeds and asafetida for 3 minutes under low flame.

Let's this mixture cool down

Add in a grinder or small blender.add ginger and chillies along with salt

Pour little water and grind to a smooth consistency.

Soak the cream if rice in water for 5 to 6 hours.in another bowl soak poha for 5 hours

Drain the water from idli rava and discard. in wet grinder add idli rava,urad dal,meeti seeds and poha

Pour in a pot in a room for fermentation and keep in warm place for 8 hours

The next day use the batter on a greased idli moulds.

Keep the pan or steamer or stove with some water

Pour the batter in the mould.cover the lid and steam the idli.if ur cooking in a cooker don't put the whistle.

Steam for 10 minutes.the idli is ready to be served

Serve the idli with ground nut chutney.
