Steps
- 1
Soak the beef in cold water for about 30 minutes to remove excess blood. Blanch in boiling water with one or two tablespoons of wine to remove any odor.
- 2
Cut the beef into chunks, then marinate with 1/2 tablespoon seasoning powder, a pinch of sugar and pepper, minced lemongrass, minced garlic, ginger powder, turmeric powder, and chili oil. Gently mix the ingredients and let it sit for 30 minutes. Then cut the carrots into chunks. Prepare some cilantro for garnish.

After the beef is marinated, sauté it briefly, then add enough water to cover the beef and cook in a pressure cooker for about 10 minutes. Add the carrots and cook for another 10 minutes. Adjust the seasoning to taste, add coconut milk and cornstarch. Stir gently for a few more minutes until the cornstarch is fully cooked and the sauce is smooth. Tada ☺️☺️☺️

Note: I don't use too much cinnamon or star anise, and I avoid five-spice powder because the aroma can be too strong. However, if you prefer a more aromatic dish, feel free to add more. Thank you for your interest in my recipe. Love you 🥰🥰🥰
