Cut the squids and spices as demonstrated in the attached image.

First, sauté the ginger and garlic, followed by the onions and tomato. Subsequently, add the squids and mix thoroughly.

Add a dash of fish sauce and crushed pepper and cover for 5 minutes. Add shrimp paste if available.

Add some soy sauce, a little oyster sauce, and brown sugar. Then, throw in the green chilis and a splash of vinegar. Cover it up and let it sit for 5 minutes.

Gently simmer the mixture until it reaches the desired consistency, then carefully add the lime. Season with salt, pepper, and sugar according to your personal preferences.
