With a bit of olive oil and butter fry the onions with salt then add the chopped carrots and half a bottle of water + Maggi cube

Then add the potatoes and the pumpkin towards the end because it’s softer.

After the water starts boiling put the heat on low and check if the carrot is soft.

Add everything into a blender with coconut milk or fresh cream and blend. Leave some unblended vegetables to add to the creamy soup.
