Cooking Instructions
- 1
Heat the skillet/pressure cooker without oil until water droplets bounce on the bottom.
- 2
Place the chops side by side, reduce the heat slightly, cover with the lid, and let cook for 3-5 minutes until the meat is browned and releases easily. Flip and repeat.
- 3
Deglaze with the wine.
- 4
Add the bell pepper, carrots, mushrooms, vegetable seasoning, and finally the water over the meat.
- 5
Close the pressure cooker and once the valve rises, reduce the heat to half and cook for 20 minutes.
- 6
Once the time is up and the pressure cooker has cooled, open it, add the olive oil, and cook the food for another 5 minutes.
- 7
Serve with rice or French fries.

I didn't have orange juice on hand, so I used orange marmalade instead. If you find the odor of the meat to be too strong, or if you want to get rid of the excess fat for a healthier dish, boil the spare ribs in hot water with about 2 tablespoons of sake added and drain the meat well beforehand. Then, move on to Step 1 by grilling them in the frying pan. Recipe by APPLEN cookpad.japan -

This was cut in half... the other part was cooked in the oven a different way and seasoned different. So this is the half I was playing around , and thought I try cooking this in the ninja foodie. My first time making something like this in my ninja.. (if you don’t know what a ninja foodie is , look one up anywhere online I highly recommend one , it’s the best I love mine I use it almost every day . You Can Cut it with Chopsticks: Tender Pork Chunks Using a Pressure Cooker You Can Cut it with Chopsticks: Tender Pork Chunks Using a Pressure Cooker
This dish is often requested no matter how many times I make it.This turns out really tender, so it is easy for elderly people to eat as well; when I have lots of people coming over, I make this in an iron pot.The meat is of course delicious, but the eggs that absorb the broth is superb. The excess grease is cooked out by thoroughly cooking the meat. This will produce surprisingly tender stewed meat chunks by pressure cooking it twice. When opening the lid, please make sure that the pressure has dissipated. The traits of each pressure cooker is different, so please be careful. My Simmered Pork Recipe- Easy Char Siu in a Pressure Cooker My Simmered Pork Recipe- Easy Char Siu in a Pressure Cooker
I used a 2.5 liter pressure cooker. Storebought char siu pork has preservatives that I worry about, so I make my own instead. I poach the meat in sake to prevent it from becoming tough, and use as little soy sauce as possible in the seeping sauce.Brown the meat to seal in the juices. If you poke the meat several times with a skewer before putting in the bag, the sauce flavors will penetrate well. The flavors will blend easily if you put the bag with the meat in a bowl and turn it over occasionally.
