Easy Turkish Poğaça stuffed with feta cheese

One of my favorite Turkish pastries is a soft, buttery breakfast roll called poğaça (poe-ah-CHA'). Yes, you can make this right away, no need to proof it. It’s fluffy, light, rich with herby flavors. Took me hundreds of times making it until I altered the original recipes to this masterpiece. Pair it with coffee, tea, and your guests won’t stop eating it. Always a show stopper and a filling snack for your kids. Perfect for picnics, tea parties, winter nights, you name it.I’m giving you the key to infinite possibilities of deliciousness 🗝️✨ 😋

Steps
- 1
First, preheat your oven to 420 degrees. Next, in a large size bowl, add all your wet ingredients including: olive oil, yogurt, and egg white. Then, mix until well combined.
- 2
Second, start adding your flour gradually, add the salt and baking powder, and throw in some gentle hand kneading until it looks like it’s holding the following shape. Leave on the side until you prepare your stuffing. In a bowl, mix your feta and Zataar until well-combined.
- 3
Third, grease a baking tray with some oil spray. If you find dough sticky, just a drop of olive oil in your hands will do. Size the dough with your hands like the shape of a cookie dough. Spread easily on your palm. The dough should be elastic. Use a table spoon of the filling and place in the middle. Then, close up like a dumpling. Place in tray.
Finishing touches:
In a bowl mix the egg yolk and the milk. Brush on each poğaça. Then sprinkle the sesame and black seeds. - 4
Fourth, place in oven for 30-35 minutes until golden brown. Depending on your oven, watch closely after 30 minutes. Wait until it cools down for 5 minutes and enjoy!
