Ingredients

20 mins
2-3 servings
  • 1 cupseviyan (vermicelli)
  • 3 tbspRose syrup(Rooh afza)
  • 1.5 tbspghee
  • 2 tbspsugar
  • Pinchsaffron threads
  • 2cardamom pods
  • 1/4 cupAlmond chopped
  • 1 tbspRaisins (optional)

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat ghee, cardamom pods,and 2 tbsp almond in a deep pan...
    Add seviyan (vermicelli) and roast it for 2-3 minutes on a low-medium flame.
    Add milk, saffron, almonds, raisins and stir it continuously till milk comes to a boil and then reduce the heat to low.
    Let the seviyan simmer in milk for 3-4 minutes (stir every 1 minute).
    Now, add sugar and boil the milk till it becomes slightly thicker.

    Increase the heat to high and bring to boil.
    Turn off the heat and now add Rose Syrup (Rooh afza). Stir and let this cool for 2-3 minutes (this thickens the seviyan and make it extra Creamy)

    Transfer the cooked seviyan to serving bowl.

    Top with chopped almonds and Rose petals..
