Syrian Shawarma with an Indian Twist

Peel the roasted red bell pepper. Blend all the marinade ingredients together, then coat the washed and drained chicken pieces with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Prepare the salad an hour before cooking.

Heat a skillet over high heat. Add the ghee and oil, then sear the marinated chicken on high until browned. Turn off the heat, cover, and let it rest until warm.

To assemble, spread garlic sauce on the flatbread, add the chicken, salad, and French fries.

Roll up the sandwich and place it on a grill or skillet with a little oil over medium-low heat. Toast until lightly golden, then brush with the drippings from the chicken and remove from heat.
