Mix the ground beef and pork, onion, egg, breadcrumbs, and ingredients from section A in a bowl thoroughly.

Divide the mixture into 4 portions and shape them into circles slightly larger than the buns. Arrange them in a frying pan.

Cook over medium-high heat until you hear sizzling, then cover with a lid and reduce to medium-low heat. Steam for 2 minutes.

Flip the patties, cover again, and steam for another 2-3 minutes. Once cooked, remove and cover with aluminum foil to rest.

Discard the fat and burnt bits from the pan, add ingredients from section B, and simmer lightly.

Lightly toast the inside of the buns and spread the sauce from step 5.

Assemble the burger with the bun, patty, tomato (and optionally avocado or pineapple), lettuce, and top bun. Press lightly to set, and it's ready to serve.
