This is a Indian potato and bread snack which was originally made by cutting bread into circles with a cutter, which was then slathered with a spicy potato filling, and deep fried! It looked like tiny circles of gold. This recipe is best for Ramadan in Iftar and Sehri.

This is a Indian potato and bread snack which was originally made by cutting bread into circles with a cutter, which was then slathered with a spicy potato filling, and deep fried! It looked like tiny circles of gold. This recipe is best for Ramadan in Iftar and Sehri.

First upon, add the boiled potatoes to a bowl and mash them with a masher.

Now add finely chopped green coriander leaves, finely chopped green chillies, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, red chilli flakes, coarsely grind dry coriander seeds, coriander cumin powder, chaat masala and salt. Then mix very well. Then make a round tikki from this potato mixture.

Now for the coating, in a bowl add cornflour, all-purpose flour, salt, black pepper powder in a bowl and mix very well. Then add water to it and mix well to make a slurry.

Now using a round shape cookie cutter or glass and cut bread slice into round pieces. Now spread the potato mixture tikki on this bread slice and place another bread slice on top.

Now dip this coin in the cornflour slurry and coat it in bread crumbs.

Now add this bread sandwich coin to the hot oil and fry it until golden on medium gas flame.

Now our very yummy Bread Coin Pockets are ready for serve. Serve this bread coin pockets with tomato ketchup.
