Marinate the chicken and let it sit for 30 minutes.

In a very hot skillet, add the chicken and cook, stirring, until done.

Transfer the chicken to a plate. In the same skillet, add the vegetables except the parsley and sauté until softened.

Return the chicken to the vegetables.

Add the parsley, mix, and remove from heat.

Sauté the rice in a mix of butter and oil with the saffron powder, then add salt and boiling water. Reduce the heat and cook until the rice absorbs the liquid.

In a serving dish, layer the crispy pita bread, then the rice, then the shawarma mixture. Garnish with parsley and some of the garlic sauce.
