Smashed Beef Pita with Tzatziki & Sumac Salad

This recipe is perfect for busy weeknights — crispy pita, juicy spiced beef, a big dollop of tzatziki, and a fresh, herby topping with mint, parsley, and a pop of tangy sumac. Fast, easy, and SO good!
Smashed Beef Pita with Tzatziki & Sumac Salad
This recipe is perfect for busy weeknights — crispy pita, juicy spiced beef, a big dollop of tzatziki, and a fresh, herby topping with mint, parsley, and a pop of tangy sumac. Fast, easy, and SO good!
Cooking Instructions

In a bowl combine the meat and all other ingredients. Mix well and set aside while you make the other elements.

In a bowl, mix the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, garlic, and a pinch of salt. Set aside in the fridge.

In another bowl, toss together the parsley, mint, sliced red onion, sumac, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt. Set aside.

Place 2 heaping tbsp of the meat mixture on a flatbread and spread it from edge to edge. Make sure that it’s evenly distributed to ensure even cooking and browning.

Into a very hot pan over medium high/high heat place the flatbread meat side down without any additional oil. Weigh it down. Cook for about 3-5 minutes (or until nicely browned) then flip onto the bread side and cook for another 2 minutes. Remove from the pan.

Assemble: First the Beef Smash Flatbread, a nice amount of tzatziki, and a handful of the Sumac herbs.
