Steps

Wash rice, dal, poha, and fenugreek seeds and soak for 6 hours.

Grind dal and rice coarsely, add curd and mix thoroughly. Keep it for fermentation for 6 to 8 hours.

Now add ginger chilli paste, salt, sugar and oil. Mix well.

Boil the water in a bowl, keep one stand to keep dhokla plate for steaming.

Grease the plate with oil.

Add Eno and little water and mix lightly. Put the batter in the greased plate. Sprinkle chilli flakes and black pepper powder on top of the batter and few chopped coriander leaves.

Steam the dhokala for 15 minutes on medium flame. Insert knife and check it whether it is done or not. If not, keep for 5 more minutes.

Cool the dhokala for 20 minutes and then cut dhokala into pieces.

In a small pan, make tempering with oil mustard seeds, asafoetida, sesame seeds, and curry leaves.

Add tempering on dhokala and garnish it with chopped coriander leaves.

Serve this yummy snack with green coriander chutney.
