I was inspired to make this recipe by one published by Un amour de cuisine that I really liked. I made some adjustments to the ingredient amounts and seasonings. This is a deliciously simple recipe where olive oil plays a starring role, so use a good quality olive oil.

I was inspired to make this recipe by one published by Un amour de cuisine that I really liked. I made some adjustments to the ingredient amounts and seasonings. This is a deliciously simple recipe where olive oil plays a starring role, so use a good quality olive oil.

Prepare the ingredients. Cut the tomato into wedges and arrange them on a plate.

Remove the outer layer of the green onion and slice it thinly. Scatter the slices over the tomato.

In a small mortar or bowl, crush the dried herbs with the pepper and salt until well combined. Sprinkle this mixture over the salad. Drizzle the olive oil evenly on top.

Add a few drops of fruity balsamic vinegar (I used raspberry, which gives a special touch). Enjoy!
