Today, I've prepared a simple yet flavourful sabzi using ripe gum berries. It's completely Jain,meaning it contains no onion, garlic or root vegetables–yet it's bursting with flavor! This sabzi pairs perfectly with roti,Paratha or bhakhri. It's an ideal dish for everyday meals or even as a special treat when you're craving somthing unique and wholesome.

Remove the seeds from the ripe gum berries and keep them in a plate.

Take gram flour (chana flour) in a wide vessel, add salt, turmeric, red chili powder, coriander-cumin powder, asafoetida, sugar, oil, and finely chopped raw mango. Mix everything well... the masala flour is ready.

Now, stuff the prepared masala flour into the ripe gum berries and place them in a plate.

Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and fenugreek seeds. Once they splutter, add asafoetida and stuffed ripe gum berries.Stir gently and cover the pan. Stir occasionally. Check the gum berries with a spatula. Once they're cooked well, sprinkle the remaining masala flour (from stuffing) over the gum berries in the pan. Wet your palm with water and sprinkle it around the gum berries,then gently stir.

Once the water is absorbed and the flour is cooked, turn off the gas.

Transfer the prepared stuffed ripe gum berries vegetable to a plate. Serve this dish with dal, rice, and roti.
