This water vegetable is packed with vitamin A & c , potassium and fibre. It is low on calories, too, sponge gourd is recommended for diabetic, heart patient.
Steps

Was & peel galka. Cut in a square pieces. For garlic chutney take garlic cloves, kashmiri red chill powder, cumin seeds and pinch of salt in a Mortar.

Heat oil in a kadai. Add mustard seeds, carom seeds and asafoetida. Add garlic chutney.Saute it well.

Add turmeric powder and cut galka. Stir it well. Add salt as per taste. Cook for 5 minutes.

When it 70 % cooked, add red chilli powder, cumin coriander powder and garam masala. Cook for 2 minutes. Add curd & sugar.

Cook for 1 minutes. Before the time of serving add Besan thin ganthiya. Mix it well. Sprinkle chopped green coriander

Serve this delicious dish with ' Bajara rotlo or khichadi.
