First, mix all the lentils in a mixing bowl and wash them thoroughly with water. Then, soak them in water for half an hour. After that, put one teaspoon of oil, one glass of water, and all the lentils in a pressure cooker and cook for three whistles.

In a pan, heat the ghee. Once hot, add the pieces of dried red chilies and cloves. When the cumin seeds crackle, add the asafoetida and sauté the onion. When the onion is almost cooked, add the ginge paste and sauté it. Add the tomato, and when the ghee separates, add the red chili powder and then the boiled lentils.

Now, add salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and coriander-cumin powder and let it cook on low heat.in the other side, decorate the serving dish. Once it is thick, turn off the gas.

Now, transfer it to a serving bowl. Put the bowl in the middle of the decorated serving dish. Your Panchmel Dal is ready.
