Wash and soak the Dal for 1 hour in warm water then Boil the dal. After that remove extra water (if there is excess water in the boiled Dal) then sieve the Dal with the strainer to become soft better.

Transfer the better in a nonstick pan and start stirring it till water evaporates. Now add jaggery and stir again till jaggery dissolves,add ghee followed by cardamom powder.

When better starts in a binding form, switch off the gas and let it cool completely.

Now make a dough for chapati/roti. Add ghee, salt and required water and knead soft dough. Give rest for 5-7 minutes

Now roll the small roti. Put one ball of puran in the roti. Cover well and roll the stuffed roti as per your likes.

Dry roast the Roti on slow flame until light marks appear and puff well. Apply ghee. Make other puran poli.

Serve hot with Your choice of vegetable curry or Gujarati kadhi. Enjoy.
Tips
Add minimum water while boiling the Dal. It saves time and the cooking process..
