Mix the ground beef with the herbs and finely chopped onion. Add salt and spices.

Sauté the diced onion in a pot, then add the garlic, tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, and spices. Cook for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Shape the beef mixture into balls and add them to the tomato sauce. Cover and cook on low heat until the kofta is cooked through. Add hot water as needed.

Once cooked, add the fried potato slices and, if desired, some onion slices. Gently stir, then transfer to a serving dish.

Serve with white rice and a green salad. Enjoy!
