Ingredients

30 minutes
2 servings
  • 2cold water lobster tails
  • 6pacific oysters, shuck and rinse
  • 3 tbsmayo
  • 1/2small onion, minced
  • 1lg cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 stripsbacon, browned and crumbled
  • 1lg avocado, peel and course chopped
  • Juice of 1 small lemon
  • Touchsalt, black pepper, and cayenne to taste
  • 1/4 cupgrated ghost pepper jack cheese
  • 2French hoagie rolls
  • To bread the oysters
  • 1 cupap flour
  • 1/4 cupyellow corn meal
  • Salt, pepper, garlic, onion powders to taste
  • 1extra large egg, mixed with a touch of milk and beaten

Steps

30 minutes

    Get a large pot of water heating on the stove. Salt the water until it tastes like sea water. Bring to a rolling boil. Add lobster tails and cook for 8 to 10 minutes. When done, remove to a plate and let cool.

    Meanwhile get a deep fryer pre heating. Bread your oysters by dipping in the flour mix, then coat with beaten egg, then back in the flour mix. Shake off excess and let rest on a plate until frying. When oil is ready fry for 4 to 5 minutes. Until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.

    When lobster can be handled, remove shell and fecal tract. Chop into pieces and add to a mixing bowl. Add mayo, onion, garlic, bacon, avocado, lemon juice, cheese, and seasoning. Mix well.

    Split hoagie rolls, toast if desired. Add lobster roll mix and top with fried oysters. Serve immediately, enjoy.

cooking is a passion of mine. I started when I was very young and I had to drag a milk crate around to see over the counter. taught by a career cook (my grandmother ). I have always tried to push the boundaries of conventional cooking. I prefer cooking wild game. when I can get my hands on it, but fish is more readily available for me. I raise and butcher most of the livestock that I use for my conventional recipes. I hope everyone can find a few recipes they like in my list.
