Orange is associated with winter and I love Orange cake a lot. Oranges will soon leave the market and though also found in summers, the taste is never the same. I enjoy oranges over desserts

In a 8” cake tin add orange slices on lined parchment paper and if too moist then Pat dry with kitchen towel. Pre heat oven to 180 deg C.

In a bowl break eggs, orange zest and add granulated sugar, whisk for 2 mins to get a light colour
- 3
Add orange juice and oil gradually, keep whisking till emulsified well
- 4
Add sifted flour, almond flour, baking powder, vanilla beans and whisk well.

Pour the batter onto the cake tin and bake for 40 mins until done or check doneness with toothpick
- 6
Cool for 15 mins and overturn and plate cutting a slice - add cream and enjoy 😊
Tips
Eggs in room temperature is important
Don’t cool the cake beyond 15 mins and keep it warm to overturn
