Sweet & Sour Chicken over Jasmine Rice

My mom used to make something similar like this when I was younger. I tried this out with my son as most of the vegetables included he likes. This dish is a major hit in my household and they go for seconds!
Sweet & Sour Chicken over Jasmine Rice
My mom used to make something similar like this when I was younger. I tried this out with my son as most of the vegetables included he likes. This dish is a major hit in my household and they go for seconds!
Steps
- 1
Cook the Jasmine Rice and set aside fluff with fork when done.
- 2
While the rice is cooking marinate your chicken cut to your choice.
- 3
Heat up the vegetables in the frying pan with a splash of your favorite cooking oil. I used Olive Oil.
- 4
Once the veggies are almost done add in your marinated chicken with all the sauce occasionally.
- 5
Cook until chicken is done and sauce thickens. I cooked this over medium stirring occasionally.
- 6
Serve the chicken mixture over the rice & add some sesame seeds and green onions to the top!
Tips
Take each step with a grain of salt and adjust it according. You could even add some Pineapple for added sweetness.
