Sunshine in a bowl! 🌽💛 The ultimate monsoon mood. 🌧️🌽
Sweet, spicy, and everything nice. ✨

Growing up in Baroda taught us that family isn't just blood; it's the neighbors across the hallway. 🏢 I’ll forever crave those golden days filled with the aroma of fresh Makai ni Metho Chevdo. where a knock on the door meant a Gujarati aunty holding a fresh plate of Makai no Chevdo that affectionate 'Lo chakho, kavu banyu che?' wasn't just an invitation to taste food—it was how our neighborhood shared love. Take me back. 🥺❤️

Makai no Mitho Chevdo (also known as Lili Makai no Chevdo) is a beloved, traditional Gujarati monsoon snack made from grated sweet corn slow-cooked in milk and tempered with aromatic spices. This dish perfectly balances the natural sweetness of corn with a touch of sugar, and a green chilli 🌶️ and ginger 🫚 .
