Canned corn beef

This is pure comfort food. I grew up eating this, so as an adult I still love it. My husband on the other hand... not so much. My mom used to make corn beef for dinner when she didn't want to to make something elaborate. This is minimal work and to me it tastes delicious! I to this day eat this for dinner when it's just me in the house, with toasted bread and butter on the side. The warm bread is first dipped in butter which is then dipped in corn beef..... ooooo Yum!

Steps
- 1
Heat a saucepan with oil till the oil is hot.
- 2
Add the sliced onions and stir. Let them brown/wait for them to become translucent.
- 3
Reduce the heat and add chilli powder and stir. If the heat is too high the chilli will burn.
- 4
Add the cron beef and stir till all the lumps in the corn beef is gone and it's smooth.
- 5
Add the peper and stir.
- 6
Let the corn beef cook for about 5 mins or till it starts to look like it has started to fry. It will start to cook in its own fat so no need to add anymore oil.
- 7
Enjoy with bread on the side.
