Ingredients

20 minutes
2 servings
  • 100 gBajra flour (pearl millet flour)
  • 2 tbsp (about 16g)Gram flour (besan)
  • 1/2 tspSalt
  • 1/4 tspTurmeric powder
  • 1 pinchAsafoetida (hing)
  • 2 tbsp (about 8g)Fresh coriander, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp (about 8g)Fresh fenugreek leaves, finely chopped
  • 1 tspGinger-green chili paste
  • 1 tspGarlic paste
  • 1/4 tspBaking soda
  • 60 ml (adjust as needed for thick batter)Water
  • for deep frying (about 250ml for frying)Oil

Steps

20 minutes
  1. 1

    In a bowl, mix Bajra flour, Gram flour, salt, turmeric, and asafoetida.

    Add coriander, fenugreek, Ginger-green chili paste, and Garlic paste. Mix well.

    Gradually add Water to make a thick batter. Stir in Baking soda.

    Heat Oil in a pan. Drop spoonfuls of batter into hot Oil.

    Fry until golden and crisp. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.

Tips

Adding garlic paste enhances the flavor of the fritters.
