Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 CupsPotato Mashed
  • 5Onions (thinly long slice) medium
  • 4Tomato (thin round slice) medium
  • 6Habanero pepper (long thin slice)
  • 300 Gramschopped Mixed Vegetables
  • 300 GramsChicken Mince
  • 3Eggs
  • 200 MillilitresCream
  • 1/4 Cupcheddar cheese grated
  • 7Cheese Slice
  • To TasteSalt
  • To TastePepper
  • To TasteHerbs
  • Oil (for sautee, roast and casserole)

    In this recipe, the individual ingredients are prepared and set aside first and then layered like a lasagna to cook and combine into one rich indulgent main course. (I am using a 25 cm dia dutch oven)

    Sautee Onions and peppers with salt till onions are golden

  3. 3

    Roast the tomatoes

  4. 4

    Sautee the mix veg with salt to taste. add in the cream and herbs and cook till reduced and veggies are tender

  5. 5

    Crack the eggs and beat then till fluffy. Make an omelette that would cover the entire diameter of your casserole dish

  6. 6

    Sautee the mince with salt and pepper seasoning till cooked

  7. 7

    Arranging the casserole: Oil the base of your casserole dish. Now spread a layer of potato mash as the base On top of this spread the onions Next arrange the roasted tomatoes

    Add the grated cheese, spread it even Place the Omelette over this Spread the creamy mix veg in a layer Layer out the mince on top of the veggies cover with cheese slices

  9. 9

    Close the lid of the casserole and cook on medium flame for 15 minutes.

    What you will get is layered casserole with a golden brown potato hash base. Enjoy!

    Note: Very very heavy main course

Food is my solace anytime. And cakes and desserts are the best for that. For my first 3 years of baking I had to get innovative since I didn't have an oven. And so all my cakes or anything I baked were in pressure cookers!!The food I make is simple and easy, no fancy stuff here :) ( Am still a rookie when it comes to cooking )I love Japanese, Malay and American cuisines. And as much as adore appams and stews and Rice and fish curry. You get the idea!!Enjoy life, Enjoy food and the happy lil' sweet things!!
