Ingredients

  • 2 cupscoconut Sliced
  • 2green chillies small , chopped
  • 1 tspginger grated
  • 1 tbspchana dal roasted
  • 1 tspncumin seeds
  • 1 pinchasafoetida
  • to tastesalt
  • water
  • For The Tempering
  • 1/2 tspmustard seeds
  • 2 to 3red chilli ,
  • 5 to 6curry leaves
  • 1 tspoil

Steps

  1. 1

    Put the coconut, green chillies, ginger, roasted split gram and salt in a blender with a little water and grind to make a fine paste. Keep aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the tempering by heating the oil and add the mustard seed, red chilli and curry leaves. Pour this tempering over the chutney and mix well.

  3. 3

    Serve with idli or Dosa.
