Authentic Sangria with Red Wine Authentic Sangria with Red Wine
I wanted to make sangria with additive-free wine and organic fruits.Banana makes sangria cloudy, but also very tasty. If you'd like your sangria to stay transparent, omit it (I tried to wrap banana with parchment paper this time as an experiment). Add mango or papaya (these tend to be a bit expensive, so frozen ones are okay) for a tropical flair. A simple Cabernet Sauvignon would be ideal for this. Basically, though, you can use any kind of wine because you add lots of fruits anyway. Whenever you open a new bottle and you don't like it, try making it into a sangria. White Basil Berry Sangria White Basil Berry Sangria
A few notes:For this recipe, you can use the white wine of your choice. It has some great flavors added, so I generally go for the cheapest bottle I can find. You can use white grape juice or apple juice in place of the sparkling cider, but it's always nice to have a bit of fizz.Any variety of apple will do, but gala apples, or even pears, go very well in this recipe.Smash the grapes over the pitcher with your fingers so any juices will be added to the sangria.I use two of ounces brandy for a lighter version, but you can double the amount for something stronger. Try adding an ounce at a time until desired strength is reached. If you don't have brandy on hand, rum is equally as good. Izandro -

This fruit sangria I had at a certain restaurant was really good, so I asked how to make it.It's surprisingly easy to make, yet very delicious. It can cost you around 700 yen per drink at a restaurant. I feel as if I got a great deal.Cheap wine makes this sangria delicious with its light taste.Squeeze out the liquid when removing the soaked fruit pieces. If you don't have any concern for pesticides, soak the citrus fruit without peeling since they will give more fragrance to the sangria. I love pomegranate juice so I modified an American recipe ("Lots of Alcohol - 3 Types of Alcohol") to make it easier to drink.Leave it to rest for a while in the fridge before serving.Modify the fruit and sweetness to taste. If you don't want it to contain too much alcohol, you can dilute with soda water and it'll still be delicious. You can have this done in time for dinner even if you don't start cooking until your husband comes home. I was happy to come up with a simple and basic western-style dish. No need to go buy a can of demi-glace sauce, the sauce thickens nicely on its own while simmering. If you use a Teflon-coated pan, then clean-up is pretty easy.If you like, add sliced garlic to Step 2 to increase the delicious flavor. I use sugar to counter the acidity of the red wine. Recipe by Mekete- cookpad.japan
