Authentic Sangria with Red Wine

I wanted to make sangria with additive-free wine and organic fruits.
Banana makes sangria cloudy, but also very tasty. If you'd like your sangria to stay transparent, omit it (I tried to wrap banana with parchment paper this time as an experiment). Add mango or papaya (these tend to be a bit expensive, so frozen ones are okay) for a tropical flair. A simple Cabernet Sauvignon would be ideal for this. Basically, though, you can use any kind of wine because you add lots of fruits anyway. Whenever you open a new bottle and you don't like it, try making it into a sangria. Recipe by Hanamaruranchi

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Pour red wine into a wide-mouthed jar, and dissolve the granulated sugar. Add brandy. It's tasty enough to use red wine that you can get at the supermarket under 10 dollars.
- 2
Wash away the wax from the lemon and orange. Peel thinly so as not to cut off the pith.
- 3
Remove the pith (because it's bitter) from your citrus fruits.
- 4
Add the cut fruits, citrus peels and cinnamon stick (if you like cinnamon).
- 5
Add brandy and granulated sugar.
- 6
Add cloves, nutmeg, or star anise for flair.
- 7
Let it sit for a day, and you can enjoy. If you want to let it sit longer, discard the fruits and cinnamon.

This fruit sangria I had at a certain restaurant was really good, so I asked how to make it.It's surprisingly easy to make, yet very delicious. It can cost you around 700 yen per drink at a restaurant. I feel as if I got a great deal.Cheap wine makes this sangria delicious with its light taste.Squeeze out the liquid when removing the soaked fruit pieces. If you don't have any concern for pesticides, soak the citrus fruit without peeling since they will give more fragrance to the sangria. Sangria Sangria
I saved some red wine that didn't taste good.My hubby and I are drinkers, and so we add brandy or rum to up the alcohol content. Add some if you'd like! Adjust the amount of honey to taste. The soaked fruits become rather bitter, so they're probably not good to eat. Recipe by Puriman. cookpad.japan -

Exquisite Sangria Exquisite Sangria
As always, I use all leftover food, and today it was the fruits' turn, which I used to brighten up a refreshing sangria. I always say that the better the ingredients, the better the result. That's why the wine is of excellent quality, as well as the liquors and fruits.Summer is ending here, and we're making the most of gatherings with friends on the terrace, so... enjoy the drink and the friendship!!!
